“Flower of Scotland” è stato composto nel 1960 da Roy Williamson al 69 di Northumberland Street in Edimburgo e musicato dai Corries.

Sebbene l’unico inno nazionale ufficiale del Regno Unito e Irlanda del Nord sia “God Save the Queen”, questo è stato adottato dagli scozzesi come inno nazionale, e viene usato anche negli eventi sportivi internazionali. Infatti, già usato nel rugby, nel 1997 è stato adottato dalla SFA come inno ufficiale del calcio.
